An acclaimed Moroccan novelist, poet, and short-story writer, Aisha Al-Basri is recognized as one of the most distinguished voices in contemporary Maghrebi literature. She earned her degree in Arabic Literature from Mohammed V University in Rabat and serves as Vice President of the International Association of Literary Criticism in France. A recipient of prestigious international honors-including the Sharjah Award for Best Arab Novel (2018) for Life Without Me, the Kateb Yacine Prize (2016) for Greta Garbo’s Granddaughters, and the Simone Landry Women’s Poetry Prize in Paris (2017)-her novels and poetry collections have been translated into French, Spanish, Italian, English, and Turkish.
