Ahmed Al-Morsi
An acclaimed Egyptian novelist, journalist, and television producer born in 1992. A Mass Communication graduate from Cairo University, Al-Morsi won second place in the Sawiris Cultural Award for Young Writers for his debut novel What Remains of the Sun (2020). He achieved widespread international acclaim when his third novel, Gambling on the Honour of Lady Mitzi, was shortlisted for the prestigious International Prize for Arabic Fiction in 2024. Recognized for his meticulous historical research, cinematic narrative rhythm, and nuanced psychological character studies, Al-Morsi is celebrated as one of the most compelling young voices in contemporary Arabic literature.
