Rosie Jedi

An award-winning Chadian novelist, journalist, and cultural commentator. Rosie Jedi is celebrated as one of the most compelling and vital voices in contemporary Sub-Saharan Arabophone literature. Holding a Master’s degree in Public Law and serving as head of the Arabic section at N’Djamena Post, he is the recipient of prestigious honors, including the Chadian State Grand Prize for Literary Excellence, the Ghassan Kanafani Prize for Arabic Fiction (2025), and the Ibn Battuta Prize for Travel Literature. Renowned for his unflinching social realism, sharp political observation, and poetic resonance, Jedi’s fiction fearlessly excavates post-colonial identity, civil conflict, generational disillusionment, and the complex human realities of modern Chad.
