Mohammad Jabaiti

An acclaimed young Palestinian novelist and writer. Holding degrees in Biochemistry from Italy and Arabic Literature from Birzeit University, Jabaiti is recognized as one of the most vibrant and inventive voices of Palestine’s new literary generation. He is the recipient of the prestigious Katara Prize for Arabic Novel (2025) for his work The Chef Who Devoured His Heart. Author of celebrated novels including The Farce, One Man for More Than One Death, A Dishwasher Reading Schopenhauer, and No Mail to Gaza, Jabaiti is renowned for his dark existential humor, keen social observation, and deeply empathetic excavations of youth, identity, and resilience under siege.
