Jana Fawaz Elhassan

An acclaimed Lebanese novelist, short-story writer, and journalist. Featured in the BBC’s 100 Women in 2015 as one of the world’s most inspiring figures, Elhassan is celebrated as a two-time shortlisted author for the prestigious International Prize for Arabic Fiction (The Arab Booker) for her novels Me, She and the Other Women (2013) and The Ninety-Ninth Floor (2015). She is also the recipient of the Simon Hayek Award for her debut novel Forbidden Desires, with her works translated into English and Italian.
